MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. --- Junior Tayler Collins produced her eighth double-digit effort of the season with 11 points while the Lees-McRae women's basketball fell to Mount Olive, 80-38, in a Conference Carolinas game at Kornegay Arena Saturday afternoon in Mount Olive, N.C.
The Trojans (8-11, 6-7 CC) used a stingy defense and 14 points from Tommarah Harris to claim their fourth win in five games. The Bobcats (5-14, 4-9) saw seniors Kerri Belcher (Roanoke, Va.) and Kabrina Truesdale (Wilmington, N.C.) record four steals each.
UMO led wire-to-wire while scoring 80 points for the first time since Dec. 20.
The Trojans' Ty Wallace tallied six of her 10 points and the defense held LMC without a point for 6:15 while the offense built an 18-2 lead with 13:16 on the clock.
Collins (Fayetteville, N.C.) nailed a pair of jumpers to shave the deficit to 12, 23-11.
Freshman Mackenzie Blankenship (Elizabethton, Tenn.) splashed a three to snap an UMO 7-0 run.

Sophomore Niroska Perez (Asheville, N.C.) hit two of LMC's three three-pointers before Jakara White tallied eight consecutive points in the waning minutes of the contest.
