BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women's basketball team (1-14, 1-7 CC) will return to Williams Gymnasium Tuesday evening to host Limestone (11-3, 7-1 CC). The game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start time.
Last Time Out – Lees-McRae dropped a 65-60 decision to Converse on the road on Saturday. Markia Stacey led LMC with 16 points. Brea Forbes also scored in double figures with 12 points against the Valkyries.
Stacey for three – Markia Stacey has been one of the top three-point shooters in the conference this season shooting at 39.1 percent, which ranks eighth in the league. Additionally, Stacey has shot at least 50 percent from beyond the arc in five of the 15 games this season.
Home Sweet Home – Several Bobcats have had better seasons playing on their home court as opposed to on road. Leading this group has been Alexis Ammons who has averaged 13.6 points per game compared to 8.0 points per game in road games.
Conference Numbers – The Bobcats have increased their statistical output across the board since entering conference play. LMC has improved in its shooting percentage (36.4 to 38.7 percent), three-point shooting percentage (30.3 to 32.2 percent), rebounds per game (38.8 to 39.6) and scoring average per game (64.0 to 70.1).
In the last meeting – Limestone knocked off the Bobcats earlier this season in Gaffney, S.C. by a score of 77-62. Breana Hardnett led the way for LMC in that contest with 18 points.
