SALISBURY, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women's basketball team fell on Saturday afternoon against Catawba College by a final score of 100-51.
The Bobcats saw Catawba jump out to the early lead due to some hot shooting from the Indians. Near the midway point of the first quarter, Lees- McRae were down 12-7 which would be the closest the score would be for the rest of the contest. Catawba were paced by Tashia DeShazo who poured in 22 points on 7-15 shooting.
Lees-McRae were led by Karli Mason and her shooting from behind the arc. Mason finished the contest with 14 points with 12 of those points coming via the three-point shot. Brianna Wright also turned in a solid performance, adding 10 points of her own.
The Bobcats will return to action next Saturday when they face Limestone on the road. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
