TIGERVILLE, S.C. --- Sophomore Peyton LeCompte continued her impressive streak with a hat trick and senior Taylor Drake dished out three assists, but the Lees-McRae women's lacrosse team lost in heartbreaking fashion, 7-6, to North Greenville in Conference Carolinas play Saturday afternoon at Pepsi Stadium in Tigerville, S.C.
The Crusaders (5-4, 2-2 CC) saw Candace Petit scoop a game-high eight groundballs while Sydney Taylor amassed seven saves. The Bobcats (2-4, 1-2) netminder, Mia Emmerson (Orlando, Fla.), stonewalled 15 shots.
LeCompte (Carolina Beach, N.C.) is currently tied for sixth in the conference in goals scored after today's contest.
The sophomore sensation spotted LMC a 3-0 lead with a trio of goals in the first 8:42 of action.
