UVA-Wise blanks Lees-McRae, 17-0, Saturday

WISE, Va. – The Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team fell to UVA-Wise in non-conference action by a score of 17-0. The loss dips LMC's record to 0-2 on the season.

The Cavaliers totaled nine goals in the first half and added eight in the second for the 17 goals. McKayla Grasham led the way with five goals for UVA-Wise. Additionally, the Cavaliers outshot LMC 22-3 in shots on goal Saturday.

Tiffany Laster led the Bobcats with a pair of shots with one being on goal. Callie Gregg paced LMC with four ground balls. In net, Dayna Decesare made five saves but was hit with the loss dropping her record to 0-2.  

The Bobcats will look to bounce back Saturday when they open their home schedule against Lee University at Tate Field. First faceoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
