BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team has a pair of home games on tap this week as it will host Erskine College on Monday before closing out the week with a tilt against North Greenville Saturday. Monday's contest will begin at 4 p.m., and Saturday's is scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m.
Last Time Out – The Bobcats dropped a 27-1 decision to Mount Olive Saturday afternoon at Tate Field. The loss moved LMC's record to 2-5 on the season and 1-4 in conference play.
Freshman among Conference Leaders – Freshman goalie Dayna Decesare currently is fourth among Conference Carolinas goalies with 52 saves. Decesare has logged all but 3:16 minutes in goal this season for the Bobcats.
Playing their best at home – Both of LMC's wins this season have come at home this season. A major reason for the two wins has been the play of Sara Henderson. Henderson has scored 15 points, including 11 goals in the four home contests.
10 is the magic number – A number to keep in mind for the Bobcats this week is 10. When Lees-McRae scores 10 goals or more it is 2-0. On the flip side, LMC is 0-5 in the games that they did not reach 10 goals.
Series Rewind – Lees-McRae will look to make it three wins in a row over Erskine Monday when the two teams match up. LMC defeated the Flying Fleet 15-2 last season and also won by a 21-12 final score in 2015. Since joining the league in 2015, NGU and LMC have split the two meetings. The Crusaders won last season's meeting, 7-6.
