Bobcats roll past Brevard Wednesday, 16-7

BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team closed out its home schedule with a 16-7 win over Brevard College Wednesday afternoon at Tate Field. The victory improves LMC's record to 4-9 overall.

Four Bobcats scored goals Wednesday. Peyton LeCompte scored six of the team's 16 goals, while Sara Henderson chipped in four and Callie Gregg and Tiffany Laster both had three goals each. In addition to those performances, Constance Madden and Anna Lingle both added assists.

Goaltender Dayna Decesare picked up her fourth win of the season improving her record to 4-8 in her freshman season. Decesare made five saves in her outing. Samantha Thomson also saw some time in goal and made four saves.

The Bobcats will wrap up their 2017 season Saturday when they head to Spartanburg, S.C. for a matchup against Converse. Saturday's game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time.
