BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team will return to action this week with a pair of games against Erskine and Chowan. LMC will travel to take on the Flying Fleet on Wednesday before returning home to Tate Field on Saturday to face the Hawks. Wednesday's game is set for a 4 p.m. start time, and Saturday's is set for 3:30 p.m.

Last Time Out – The Bobcats dropped a 24-3 decision to No. 7 Limestone last Friday at Tate Field. The loss moves LMC's overall record on the 2018 campaign to 1-7 overall and 1-5 in conference action.

Peyton pacing the Bobcats – As she has done during most of her career as a Bobcat senior attacker Peyton LeCompte provided a definite offensive spark for the team against Limestone. LeCompte accounted for all three of the team's goals in the game against the Saints bringing her career total to 161, which is the most of any Bobcat in the history of the program.

Positive vibes in the Palmetto State – When the Bobcats visit Due West, South Carolina on Wednesday, they will look to continue their stellar play in the Palmetto state dating back to last season. LMC is 2-1 in the last three contests played in the state, including the team's lone win of the 2018 season.

About the Opponents – Erskine is currently 1-10 overall and 1-7 in league action in 2018. The Flying Fleet's lone win on the season came back on February 21 at Southern Wesleyan, 19-9. Leading the charge for Erskine this season has been Faith Flanagan, who ranks tenth in the conference with 48 points (37g, 11a).

Chowan, meanwhile, has already won the most games in program history this spring bringing a record of 6-6 into this week's action. The Hawks have a balanced offense with six different players having scored 10 or more points on the season. Heather Orell has the most points on the squad with 46 (32g, 14a).

Series Rewind – Lees-McRae will look to continue a solid string of play rolling against Erskine when the two programs match up on Wednesday. LMC has won three straight against the Flying Fleet, including an 18-6 triumph last season in Banner Elk.

The series against Chowan is far less as the two teams have only matched up twice in their histories. Chowan won last season's meeting by a score of 12-9, but the Bobcats came out on top in the other contest that was played in Banner Elk on April 5, 2014, 19-10.
