Ray Cameron is in his first season as head women’s lacrosse coach at Lees-McRae College.
Cameron brings a wealth of coaching experience from the high school level, having started both the men’s and women’s programs at nearby Watauga High School in Boone, N.C. The Baltimore, Md. native has played and coached lacrosse for over 30 years, enjoying a tremendous playing career at Gilman School in Baltimore before moving on to play at Washington College.
He has also coached in the Heroes Lacrosse League, one of the most prestigious summer leagues in the country, as well as at the club level in Boone. Cameron graduated from Lees-McRae in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, and has enjoyed a tremendously successful career in a variety of business ventures.
