  • Five Lees-McRae Lacrosse players named to the Academic All-Conference teams

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College lacrosse programs had five student-athletes recognized by the league office Monday with Academic All-Conference honors. Alec Molander and Chris Lamay were the honorees from the men’s team, while Constance Madden, Sara Henderson and Tiffany Laster received the same honor from the women’s team.

  • Strong Second Half lifts Emmanuel past Lees-McRae Tuesday, 23-18

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s lacrosse team trailed Emmanuel College by just one goal at halftime Tuesday in its Conference Carolinas matchup. The Lions, however, outscored the Bobcats 12-7 in the final 30 minutes to pull away and win the contest, 23-18. The loss pushes LMC’s record to 1-10 overall and 1-8 in league action.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s lacrosse team will wrap up its 2018 regular season with a pair of home games. First, the Bobcats will host Emmanuel Tuesday at 5 p.m., before Belmont Abbey comes to Banner Elk on Friday for a 7 p.m. first draw.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Even with five-point performances from both Tiffany Laster and Peyton LeCompte Saturday, the Lees-McRae College women’s lacrosse team fell to Chowan University by a score of 14-11 at Tate Field. The loss moves the Bobcats’ record to 1-9 overall and 1-7 within the conference in 2018.

    DUE WEST, S.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s lacrosse team battled back from a seven-goal deficit at one point to get within one of Erskine College Wednesday afternoon in Conference Carolinas action, but that’s where the comeback stalled as the Flying Fleet held on for the 19-17 victory. The loss moves LMC’s record to 1-8 overall and 1-6 in conference play.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s lacrosse team will return to action this week with a pair of games against Erskine and Chowan. LMC will travel to take on the Flying Fleet on Wednesday before returning home to Tate Field on Saturday to face the Hawks. Wednesday’s game is set for a 4 p.m. start time, and Saturday’s is set for 3:30 p.m.

    TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s lacrosse team trailed by as many as four goals Wednesday at North Greenville, but the Bobcats rallied to tie the game at 9-9 with 2:49 to go. Unfortunately, NGU netted a pair of goals in the final two minutes to edge the Bobcats, 11-9. The loss moves Lees-McRae’s record to 1-6 overall and 1-4 in conference play.

Friday’s game, which will be played on the practice field next to Williams Gymnasium due to unplayable field conditions at Tate Field, is slated to get underway at 4 p.m.

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – 157 Lees-McRae College student-athletes were named to the 2017 Fall Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll on Thursday morning by the league office. Eight teams had 10 or more student-athletes honored with the men’s and women’s soccer squads leading the way with 19 and 18 honorees, respectively.
