Kerrigan ranked second in nation in assists

INDIANAPOLIS --- Freshman midfielder Kaitlyn Kerrigan (Lakewood Ranch, Fla.) is ranked among the top five players in the nation in a pair of categories, announced NCAA officials with the initial release of the NCAA Division II women's soccer statistics Tuesday.

Kerrigan has been a tremendous part of the Lady Bobcats' success this season, entering the week ranked second in the nation in total assists (five) and third in assists per match (1.25). The Lakewood Ranch, Fla. native has tallied an assist in each of Lees-McRae's first four matches, posting a season-high two helpers against Limestone on Saturday.

Lees-McRae is ranked among the nation's top teams in a pair of categories, entering the week ranked 42nd in winning percentage (0.75) and 47th in scoring offense (2.5). Juniors Vickie Rich (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and Jessica O'Leary (Milbury, Mass.) are tied for 72nd in the nation in total points, entering the week with seven markers apiece.

The Lady Bobcats return to the pitch on Saturday when they host Mount Olive College to continue Conference Carolinas play. The match is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. at Tate Field.
