INDIANAPOLIS --- Freshman midfielder Kaitlyn Kerrigan (Lakewood Ranch, Fla.) is ranked eighth in the nation in assists, and the Lees-McRae College women's soccer team is listed in 10 individual and team categories in the latest edition of the NCAA Division II women's soccer statistics, announced NCAA officials Wednesday.
Lees-McRae (14-5, 8-2 CC) enters the week having won each of its last four matches, including a 2-1 win over Mount Olive in Monday's opening round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament. The Lady Bobcats are ranked 12th in the nation in scoring offense (2.89), while also beginning the week listed 40th in winning percentage (0.722), 59th in goals against average (1.00), and 93rd in shutout percentage (0.333).
Kerrigan continues to be ranked among the nation's assists leaders, entering the week listed eighth in both total assists (11) and 10th in helpers per match (0.65). Freshman MaryBeth Sullivan (Greensboro, N.C.) begins the week ranked 24th in total assists (9.0), 30th in total points (33.0), 31st in helpers per match (0.5), and 36th in markers per contest (1.83).
Vickie Rich (Arlington Heights, Ill.) opens the week ranked 52nd in total points (27.0), 59th in markers per contest (1.5), and 79th in goals per match (0.556), while freshman Katelyn Custer (Mooresville, N.C.) is listed 56th in assists per match (0.44). Rich and junior Brooke Santerre (Port Republic, Md.) are tied for 79th in assists per match (0.39), while Santerre ranks 73rd in total points (23.0). Senior goalkeeper Brittany Bolton (Roanoke, Va.) is also ranked, entering the week listed 75th in goals against average (1.039).
Lees-McRae returns to the pitch on Thursday in the semifinal round of the conference tournament when the fourth-seeded Lady Bobcats travel to Belmont, N.C. to take on top-seeded Belmont Abbey College. The match is slated to kick off at 2 p.m.
