BANNER ELK, N.C. – After a pair of 1-0 victories, the Lees-McRae women's soccer team was on the wrong side of the ledger of a 1-0 decision Wednesday evening at Tate Field as Lenoir Rhyne snapped LMC's two-match winning streak.
The Bears controlled the pace of play for the majority of the game outshooting the Bobcats, 24-3. Goalkeeper Alexis Feely did her best to keep her team in the game as she made nine saves in 10 attempts for LMC. The only shot to get past Feely in the game was from Jessica Feronti in the 18th minute of play.
LMC, now 4-9-0 overall, will return to conference action Saturday as it hits the road to take on Belmont Abbey. The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time.
