WILSON, N.C. – Cheyenne Warrick scored in the 59th minute to lift the Lees-McRae College women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Barton Saturday afternoon. The win moves the Bobcats over the .500 mark in Conference Carolinas action with a record of 5-4.
The Bobcats had the majority of the offensive chances in the contest with 21 shots compared to five for Barton. LMC also had the only three corner kicks in the game.
Warrick's goal was her third of the season and was assisted by Lena Langille. It marked the first assist of the season for the Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia native.
Alexis Feely picked up her fifth win of the season to improve her record to 5-10-0 in the season. All five victories have been shutouts and it marked Feely's 10th career shutout, which is tied for eighth in program history.
The Bobcats will return home Wednesday for a match against King (Tenn.) Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. from Tate Field.
