BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women' soccer team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to force a 2-2 tie in its conference-opening match against Barton Saturday afternoon at Tate Field. With the tie, the Bobcats move to 0-2-1 on the season.

Sophomore Riley Neese netted both goals Saturday for Lees-McRae. With the two goals, Neese surpassed her goal total from her entire freshman season when she tallied just one goal. Ironically, Neese's lone goal last season came against Barton.

Assisting on the pair of goals were Autumn Esposito and Allyna Ankney. The two assists for the respective players were the first points for the duo this season.

Alexis Feely stopped 11 of the 13 Bulldog shots she faced Saturday. Feely was particularly good after Barton netted those two goals earlier in the contest as eight of Feely's 11 saves came after those two shots got past her.

Next Up: Lees-McRae will travel to Bristol, Tenn. for a mid-week conference clash with rival King (Tenn.) University on Wednesday. Kickoff between the Tornado and the Bobcats is scheduled for 1 p.m.
