Women's Soccer Ends 2018 Campaign with 2-0 Loss to Emmanuel

BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Lees-McRae College women's soccer team finished off its 2018 season with a 2-0 loss to visiting Emmanuel (Ga.) on Thursday (Oct. 25).

Game Summary - The teams were scoreless for the first 22 minutes before Emmanuel would strike in the 23rd minute to put the visitors ahead for good. Hannah Logue took the ball off a LMC defender and found the back of the net for her 14th of the season to put the Lions ahead. The Lions would take their 1-0 lead to the half. The Lions would pad their lead Hannah Logue would cross a ball into the box to Moriah Logue who would score her third of the season in the 68th minute. Emmanuel would keep the pressure on and keep the ball in LMC's end until the clock ran out.

Stats Rundown - LMC totaled nine shots in the loss, including five on goal. Cassie McFayden led the team with three shots putting all of them on net, while six other Bobcats each registered one shot apiece in the contest. Alexis Feely (3-11-0) made seven saves in the final match of her outstanding LMC career.

This concludes the 2018 women's soccer season.
