    GAFFNEY, S.C. – Limestone’s Megan O’Connor scored in 49th minute to lift her team to a 1-0 victory over the Lees-McRae College women’s soccer team in the Conference Carolinas Championship game in Gaffney, S.C. Saturday night. The loss brings Lees-McRae’s season to close and its record finishes at 5-12-3.

    GAFFNEY, S.C. – Three members of the Lees-McRae College women’s soccer team earned All-Conference Carolinas honors at the league’s award banquet this afternoon in Gaffney, S.C. Goalkeeper Alexis Feely was named the Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year and was named to the league’s first team. Forwards Kiara Montenegro and Riley Neese were also recognized with third team honors at the banquet as well.

    GAFFNEY, S.C. – Autumn Esposito scored in the 41st minute of the Conference Carolinas semifinals Thursday night against Chowan University and that was all the offense the Lees-McRae College women’s soccer team needed as it shut out the Hawks, 1-0. The win not only improves LMC’s record to 5-11-3 on the season but it also clinches a spot in the Conference Carolinas Championship game for the Bobcats for the first time since 2011.
  • Women’s Soccer set to take on Chowan Thursday in Conference Carolinas Semifinals

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – For the third time in the past four seasons, the Lees-McRae College women’s soccer team will take part in the semifinal round of the Conference Carolinas tournament Thursday night when it takes on Chowan University from Gaffney, South Carolina. The kickoff between the Bobcats and Hawks is set for 7 p.m.
  • 16 Lees-McRae Soccer players named Academic All-Conference

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College soccer programs had 16 student-athletes recognized Monday with Academic All-Conference honors. The men’s team had nine honorees in: Tom Deeley, David Frederick, Adam Hackett, Palle Jespersen, James Morgan, Andy Ramirez, Pol Vassart, Nathan Watt and Kelvin Woods. The women’s team had seven players recognized and they were: Allyna Ankney, Alexis Feely, Leanne McAlexander, Savannah Rees, Natalie Shuman, Nikki Torres and Kelsey Twigg.
  • No. 6 Lees-McRae earns 1-1 draw at No. 3 Belmont Abbey; Bobcats advance on PKs 4-2

    BELMONT, N.C. – The sixth-seeded Lees-McRae College women’s soccer team and the third-seeded Belmont Abbey College played to a 1-1 draw in 110 minutes of action in the Conference Carolinas Quarterfinals Monday afternoon. In a penalty kick shootout to decide who would advance to the next round of the Conference Carolinas women’s soccer tournament, the Bobcats won edged the Crusaders in the shootout, 4-2, to advance to the semifinal round of the tournament for the third time in the past four years.
