  • Swimming wraps up first ever meet Saturday in Bristol

    BRISTOL, Va. – The Lees-McRae College swimming teams wrapped up their first-ever meet Saturday morning in Bristol, Virginia. Overall, the Bobcats won five different events with three of those wins coming from the men’s team and the other two from the women’s squad.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College swimming teams will compete in their first-ever meets Saturday in Bristol, Virginia. The Bobcats will compete against fellow Conference Carolinas foe King University and Milligan College in a tri-meet. The events are scheduled to get underway at 9:30 a.m. from Virginia High School.
  • LMC Women’s Swimming picked to finish sixth in Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s swimming team was picked to finish sixth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches’ Poll the league office announced Thursday. Kayla Fleming and Jennifer Paul were picked as swimmers to watch for LMC in its inaugural season.
  • Hannah Snyder hired as Assistant Swimming Coach

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae College’s Head Swimming Coach Sean Weddell announced the hiring of Hannah Snyder as an assistant coach Wednesday afternoon. Snyder, who recently graduated from Appalachian State with a Master’s Degree in exercise science, will be an integral part of the brand new swimming programs for Lees-McRae. Both programs are set to begin their first year of competition in a couple weeks.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College swimming teams unveiled their schedules for their first-ever seasons Friday afternoon. Overall, the Bobcats are scheduled to compete in nine different meets running from October to early February.
