Women's Tennis Drops Bout to Limestone, 9-0

BANNER ELK, N.C. --- The Lees-McRae women's tennis team fell in a Conference Carolinas match to Limestone, 9-0, at the LMC Tennis Courts on a beautiful Monday afternoon in Banner Elk, N.C.

The Saints (6-6, 4-1 CC) reached the .500 clip while notching their fourth conference win. The Bobcats (1-11, 0-5) saw impressive play from their top trio despite the loss.

Junior Samantha Wohlers (Windsor, Ontario, Canada) hung tough at No. 1 singles, but was unable to overcome Alexandra Boulbin in a 6-4, 6-1 loss.

Sophomore Hillary Lutz (Shelby, N.C.) fell short in tightly-contested No. 2 singles action against Marian Pinate, 6-2, 6-4.

Wohlers and Lutz dropped an 8-6 bout at No. 1 doubles.

LMC travels to Spartanburg, S.C. to battle Converse at 2 p.m.
