TIGERVILLE, S.C. --- Lees-McRae sophomore Hillary Lutz earned her sixth win on the season, but LMC's women's tennis squad dropped a 7-2 decision at North Greenville Saturday afternoon in Tigerville, S.C.
The Crusaders (3-16, 3-5 CC) boasted their postseason opportunities with the win while they are sitting sixth. The Bobcats (2-14, 1-8) grabbed wins at No. 2 and 5 singles.
Lutz (Shelby, N.C.) claimed consecutive wins after a tough bout with Maggie Elliott at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-4.
Freshman Amanda Chapman (Sunderland, Md.) earned a win via default at No. 5 singles.
NGU didn't allow LMC to win more than two games in any of the doubles matches.
The Bobcats won two matches this season, marking the most since the 2010-11 campaign.
