Women’s Tennis shuts out UVa-Wise Wednesday in Bristol

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Lees-McRae College women's tennis team pitched a 9-0 shutout of UVa-Wise Wednesday night in Bristol in non-conference action. LMC improves to 5-3 on the season, which is the most wins for the program in a single-season since 2015.

The Bobcats earned their third shutout of the spring Wednesday through another complete effort up and down the lineup. With the three doubles wins against the Cavaliers, the team's record in doubles improves to 16-8, and its six singles victories bring their record in that category to 29-19.

3. Dakota Tittle/Emily Harrison (LMC-W) def. Gabrielle Beville/Ashley Cullen (WISE) 8-1

The Bobcats will look for their second straight win Friday afternoon when they visit Southern Wesleyan in a Conference Carolinas contest. That match against the Warriors is set for 3 p.m.
