Three Women’s Tennis players land spots on the Academic All-Conference team

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College women's tennis players Jaden Acklin, Rebecca Pierce and Dakota Tittle were named to the Academic All-Conference team Wednesday by the league office. For all three athletes, it is the first academic all-conference honor of their respective careers.

The trio of Bobcats were among the 55 student-athletes (29 women, 26 men) that were bestowed Academic All-Conference honors on Wednesday. Student-athletes are named to the team by maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale.  GPA is calculated based on the student-athlete's cumulative average through the previous semester, and each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year. Academic All-Conference Teams are comprised of juniors and seniors who play in one of Conference Carolina's twenty-one sponsored sports.

Each year the Academic All-Conference Teams are released as part of the championship season.  Tennis will begin championship play on Friday, April 20. Erskine College will host the tournament at the Palmetto Tennis Center from April 20-22, in Sumter, S.C.
