CONFERENCE CAROLINAS RELEASE

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Sophomore Sandy Allen was named the Conference Carolinas women's tennis Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 4-10, the league announced today (Wednesday, Feb. 13).

Allen played a critical part in Lees-McRae's 7-0 win over Warren Wilson back on Saturday (Feb. 9). She and Nursharneem Shamsuddin earned a 6-1 win over Zosha Silverstein-Belden and Ana Risano at No. 1 doubles, before Allen would win 6-1, 6-0 over Silverstein-Belden at No. 1 singles.

The two victories moved Allen's overall record to an identical 2-2 in both doubles and singles play. This is the second career Player of the Week honor for the Saint John's Fla. native.

The Bobcats are back on the courts on Saturday (Feb. 16) when they travel to Lee University for a 12 p.m. start.
