Women's Tennis drops Saturday conference match at Emmanuel (Ga.)

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Lees-McRae College women's tennis team fell in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday (Mar. 23) at Emmanuel (Ga.) by a score of 5-2.

Emmanuel (Ga.) swept doubles play for one point, before winning four out of six singles matches.

Lees-McRae got wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, by Rebecca Pierce and Jaden Acklin respectively. Pierce gutted out a 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 win at No. 5, before Acklin won 8-3 at No. 6.

The Bobcats (8-8, 0-2 Conference Carolinas) are back in action on Monday (Mar. 25) to make up their previously-postponed match with Converse. First serve is set for 12 p.m.
