Women's Tennis drops Conference Carolinas tournament quarterfinal to Emmanuel (Ga.) on Friday

SUMTER, S.C. - The Lees-McRae College women's tennis team fell in the Conference Carolinas tournament quarterfinals to Emmanuel (Ga.) on Friday (Apr. 26) by a score of 4-0.

Emmanuel (Ga.) won two out of three doubles matches to secure the doubles point, before winning three singles matches to clinch the match. Sandy Allen and Nursharneem Shamsuddin were locked in a 4-4 tie at No. 1 doubles when the match was called due to Emmanuel (Ga.) winning the doubles point. Three singles matches also went unfinished in the contest. Allen had won the first set at No. 1 singles 6-3, and was ahead in the second set 5-1 before the match was called when Emmanuel (Ga.) clinched the victory.

This concludes the 2018-19 women's tennis season.
