JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Lees-McRae College track & field programs wrapped up the first day of the ETSU Invitational Friday in Johnson City. LMC notched a pair of top 10 finishes, including four more nods in the top 15.
Senior Christian Lloyd notched the best finish of any Bobcat Friday finishing eighth in the men's pole vault with a mark of 4.15m. That mark was just 0.30 meters shy of Lloyd's career-best. Fellow senior Mekayla Boswell tallied the top finish on the women's side with tenth place finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.55m.
In the running events, Lees-McRae was led by the duo of Austin Thompson and Erin Bingham. Thompson finished 14th in the men's 5000m run with a time of 15:58.55. Bingham, meanwhile, finished 16th among 38 competitors in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.46. Additionally, Bingham posted the highest finish of any Division II athlete in that particular event.

Day two of the ETSU Invitational begins bright and early Saturday morning with an 8 a.m. start time. The first event is the women's 3000m run. Rounding out the day will be the men's 4 x 400m relay around 6:40 p.m.
