Women’s Track & Field wraps up competition at the Duke Invitational Saturday

DURHAM, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women's track and field program competed in one final outdoor meet prior to the Conference Carolinas Championships next weekend. The meet the Bobcats competed in was the Duke Invitational, and the team logged a pair of top 20 finishes over the weekend.

LMC's top finish on the weekend came from senior Kaitlyn Gearing. Gearing finished 16th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.67. The other top 20 finish for the Bobcats came in the javelin throw as Bayle Wood finished 19th with a toss of 33 meters.

Mya Roberts – 100m dash – 42nd – 16.07

Makayla Estep – 400m hurdles – 43rd – 1:14.33

Millie McCoy – 400m run – 62nd – 1:05.15

Brea Forbes – 200m run – 74th – 29.68

Jordyn Halvorsen – 1500m run – 84th – 5:24.48

Kaela Kelly – 800m run – 97th – 3:11.30
