Lady Bobcats Ranked 42nd in the Nation in Aces Per Set

BANNER ELK, N.C. -- The Lees-McRae Lady Bobcats volleyball team is ranked 42nd in the nation in aces per set with 104 aces in 41 sets for an average of 2.04 through September 21, 2008.

As of September 21, leading the way for the Lady Bobcats are Whitney Kiser with 19 aces in 51 sets, Kell Bodgan (18 in 49), Megan Epperson with (17 in 51), and Trisha Reese with (16 in 51).

The top four teams are Oakland City with 106 aces in 33 sets for an average of 3.21 aces per set, Goldey-Beacom (3.13), UC San Diego (2.98) and Davis & Elkins (2.81).

After Tuesday night's match with Belmont Abbey College, where the Lady Bobcats added eight service aces in three sets, their season numbers were boosted to 117 aces in 54 sets for an average of 2.07 aces per set.
