Lady Bobcats Down Flying Fleet, 3-0

BANNER ELK, N.C. - Megan Epperson had a match-high 13 kills and Luana Rocha had a match-high 22 digs to lead the Lees-McRae College Lady Bobcats to a 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-17) over the Erskine College Flying Fleet Saturday in Williams Gymnasium Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action.

Epperson was the lone Lady Bobcat in double digit kills. Lauren Hall followed with nine kills and four service aces, and Megan Mitchell handed out 32 assists. Whitney Justice, Katie-Marie Legg and Taylor Clendenin all had four total blocks. Legg and Clendenin had four block assists, while Justice had two solo blocks and two block assists.

Erskine was led by Allison Albers, who had 10 kills and was the lone Erskine player with double-digit kills. Larz Chabra handed out 21 assists, and Brook Dodge had 15 digs. Albers also had a match-high five total blocks, all five were solo blocks.

With the win, Lees-McRae improves to 13-4 overall and 8-1 in the conference, while Erskine drops to 7-11 overall and 5-4 in the conference.

The Lady Bobcat will travel to Tusculum October 6th at 7 p.m. for their next match.
