Epperson named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. --- Lees-McRae College senior
Megan Epperson (St. John, Ind.) has been named the Conference
Carolinas Player of the Week for the first time in her career,
announced league officials Tuesday.
Epperson led the Bobcats (10-6, 6-0 CC) to a trio of conference
wins last week, averaging 4.60 kills per set while posting a .279
hitting percentage. The senior outside hitter opened the week with
12 kills against Erskine before exploding against North Greenville
on Friday, tallying a season-high 20 kills in just three sets.
Epperson then closed out the week with 14 kills in a three-set
sweep of King.
A native of St. John, Ind., Epperson is currently first on the
team and third in the conference with an average of 3.58 kills per
set this season. She is also ranked 62nd in the nation in kills per
set, and 65th in points per frame (4.11).
Lees-McRae returns to the court on Friday when the Bobcats
travel to Raleigh, N.C. to take on St. Augustine's College at 6
