HICKORY, N.C. --- The Lenoir-Rhyne University women's volleyball team posted a .343 hitting percentage en route to a straight-set sweep of Lees-McRae College in non-conference play on Tuesday evening.
Lenoir-Rhyne (4-1) won the match by scores of 25-7, 25-10, and 25-8, tallying 30 kills and nine blocks in the contest. The Bobcats recorded 25 digs on the night.
Jordan Banta (Virginia Beach, Va.) led the way for the Bobcats with three kills, as Avalon Liscio (Naples, Fla.) added eight digs and a pair of smashes.
Ashley Wells paced the Bears with eight kills, as Haley Rhyne added seven smashes and an even .500 hitting percentage. Briana Gottberg and Nkaujshua Lo each chipped in match-highs of 26 assists and 13 digs.
Lees-McRae returns to the court on Friday when the Bobcats host Pfeiffer University in their home and Conference Carolinas opener at 7 p.m. in Williams Gymnasium.
