Banner Elk, NC - Karyn Bragman, from Clayton, NC, has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) with Lees-McRae College in the sports of women's cross country and track and field.
Bragman, a standout at Clayton High School, has competed in 7 regional and 8 state competition meets. She is the school record holder in the 800m, while also pole vaulting 9.6 feet and triple jumping 27 feet 8.5 inches.
"Karyn's multi-talented and will help our women's team in many areas," said Coach Craig McPhail. "Her potential is what is so exciting and we are anxious to develop it."
Karyn is the daughter of Donald and Christina Bragman.
Karyn is undecided in what she wants to major in at Lees-McRae.
Lees-McRae College is a four-year, coeducational college of
liberal arts and sciences, located in the fame high country of
Western North Carolina, near the base of Grandfather Mountain
between the Beech and Sugar Ski Resorts.
