JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. --- Lees-McRae freshman Alexandria Flint finished 17th on the women's side while sophomore Cody McNeely swiped 24th in men's action, highlighting cross country action at the Buffalo Stampede on the campus of Milligan College Friday evening in Johnson City, Tenn.
Flint (Blue Bell, Pa.) delighted coach Ley Fletcher with a time of 20:09.7 in her collegiate debut in the 5K.
The freshmen quartet of Jennifer Warren (Piney Flats, Tenn.), Alexandria Calma (Trussville, Ala.), Makayla Estep (Moravian Falls, N.C.) and Jamie Colon (Acworth, Ga.) finished 35th, 39th, 40th and 42nd respectively.
Junior Robbiccaa Williams of Tennessee Wesleyan posted the best time on the evening while her squad won the team event with 35 points.
McNeely (Salisbury, N.C.) earned his finish with a time of 21:27 in the 6K while teammates Anthony Carroll (Stevensville, Md.) and Tyler Pauley (Independence, Va.) finished 28th and 29th, respectively.
Sophomore Sean Condon (Walnut Cove, N.C.) and freshman Joshua Dowds (Birmingham, Ala.) used times of 22:26.9 and 22:45.2 to claim top-40 finishes.
North Greenville's Ahmad Nesbitt won the individual title while Tennessee Wesleyan was nearly perfect with a 23-point performance to win the men's team title.
The Bobcats return to action when they travel to Greenville, S.C. Saturday, Sept. 13 to participate in the Furman XC Classic.
