BOONE, N.C. --- Freshman Alexandria Flint and sophomore Cody McNeely paced their respective teams while the Lees-McRae cross country squads participated in the Blue Ridge Open Friday afternoon in Boone, N.C.
Flint (Blue Bell, Pa.) completed the 5K course in 22:09.63 while teammates Jamie Colon (Acworth, Ga.) and Alexandria Calma (Trussville, Ala.) needed 22:45.44 and 23:11.71, respectively, to finish the run.
Freshman Makayla Estep (Moravian Falls, N.C.) turned in a time of 23:56.67.
Coastal Carolina's Letitia Saayman claimed the individual victory by 11.41 seconds over Appalachian State's Tristin Van Ord.
ASU, Wake Forest and Coastal Carolina went first, second and third in the scoring.
On the men's side, McNeely (Salisbury, N.C.) led the Bobcat men's team with a time of 23:38.84 in the 6,400-meter run.
Sophomore Tyler Pauley (Independence, Va.) turned in a time of 24:21.98 while teammate Anthony Carroll (Stevensville, Md.) needed 24:32.30.
Northern Kentucky's JJ Webber won the individual title by 11 seconds while High Point claimed the title in team scoring.
LMC returns to action Saturday, Oct. 25 when it travels to Hickory, N.C. to participate in the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational.
