BOONE, N.C. -- Max Geckler captured the sixth-fastest time in Lees-McRae men's cross country history on Friday morning at the Covered Bridge Run hosted by App State.

NOTABLES:
- Geckler finished with an impressive mark of 25:34.21 and placed 33rd out of 129 total runners. Geckler now holds five of the top 10 times at Lees-McRae in the 8K distance.
- Ian Kelbert ran the course in a time of 26:37.27 and was 59th in today's race. Rien Freeman for the Bobcat runners with a time of 27:32.03 and Cameron Adair crossed the finish line in a time of 27:36.26.
- As a team, Lees-McRae was ninth out of 13 teams and Florida State took first place with 22 total points. FSU's Matthew Neill earned first place with a time of 24:15.63.

Lees-McRae returns to action next Friday as the Bobcats will take part in the Eli Cramer Invitational hosted by Milligan.
