Get to Know: Emily Alvut, Athletic Trainer

BANNER ELK, N.C. - Lees-McRae Athletics continues to recognize our athletic training staff for their support and help with our student-athletes daily. Emily Alvut joined Lees-McRae in August 2023 and currently works as the athletic trainer for men's and women's volleyball, cheerleading, and women's lacrosse.

I got started in athletic training after doing a federal work study with my AT in undergrad.

My favorite Lees-McRae moment was hosting the first rounds of the women's volleyball conference championship.
My favorite athletic training moment is game days. I love the energy before games and they're my favorite part of the job.
My favorite place on campus is the view of the mountains from outside the gym.
My music playlist includes Hozier, Mt. Joy, and Taylor Swift.
My favorite place to visit is the Adirondack Mountains.
My favorite sports team is the Buffalo Bills. Go Bills
The sports I work at Lees-McRae are men's and women's volleyball, cheerleading, and women's lacrosse.
