2019-20 Season (Junior) - Bengtson competed in six races during the mountain bike portion of the schedule for the Bobcats in 2019-20...Bengtson picked up an event victory at the High Country Collegiate MTB Challenge in the dual slalom event...Overall, Bengtson picked up nine top 10 finishes as a junior...Bengtson closed out his junior season by competing at the USA Cycling Collegiate MTB Nationals in the XC and STXC events placing 39th and 30th, respectively in fields consisting of over 70 riders. 

2018-19 Season (Sophomore) - Bengtson competed in five races during mountain bike season as a sophomore...Finished seventh in the A short track event, while also finishing 10th in the A cross-country event at King University (Sept. 1-2)...Finished 13th in the A cross-country event, while also finishing 33rd in the A short track event at Brevard (Sept. 8-9)...Finished 10th in the A cross-country event while also finishing 37th in the A short track event and winning the C dual slalom at the High Country Collegiate MTB Challenge (Sept. 22-23)...Took seventh in the A cross-country race, while also finishing 16th in the A short track event and third in the C dual slalom at Union College (Sept. 29-30)...Finished 40th in the cross-country event while also finishing 45th in the short track event at Collegiate MTB Nationals (Oct. 19-21)...Also competed in five road races as a sophomore...Finished 23rd in the A road race, while also finishing 36th in the A criterium event at Auburn (Feb. 23-24)...Took 26th in the A race, while finishing 25th in the A criterium at Clemson (Mar. 23-24)...Took 21st in the day one A criterium, while finishing 14th in the day two A criterium event at King University (Tenn.) (Mar. 30-31)...Was part of a fifth-place team time trial effort and also finished 26th in the A road race at the SECCC Road Championships (Apr. 6-7)...Finished 65th in the road race while also finishing 29th in the criterium event at Collegiate Road Nationals (May 10-12)...Was named to the Conference Carolinas Fall Presidential Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.
