The Lees McRae Lady Bobcats fell to 0-3, (0-2 CVAC) this
afternoon after a 23-1 loss to perennial powerhouse Limestone
College in Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference action.
Limestone improved to 2-0 this season, both wins coming in CVAC
play.
The high flying Lady Saints, ranked 4th in the nation, jumped
all over the Lady Bobcats early, scoring 13 goals in the first
half. The Lady Bobcats got on the board in the second with a goal
from Amelia Henson, (pictured top left). Henson's goal was her
second this season, and second in three career games, after scoring
in the season opener against Belmont Abbey.
Limestone had 21 goals to Lees-McRae's 12 and out shot the
visitors 37-9. The Lady Saints also won 16 of 25 draw controls.
Limestone's Erin Cavanaugh had five saves in the first half,
while Toni Santagelo had three in the second half.
Olivia Maurey has nine saves for the Lady
Bobcats.
The Lady Bobcats will travel to Pfeiffer Sunday afternoon for a
CVAC contest against the 7th ranked Lady Falcons.
