GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team
dropped their season opener to Greensboro College, 14-2, Saturday
afternoon in a nonconference game.
Greensboro took a 6-0 lead into the locker rooms at the half,
but coming out of the intermission Abbey White scored the Lady
Bobcats first goal of the season with 29:16 remaining in the
game.
Greensboro scored the next two goals to take an 8-1 lead before
Lauren Martin found the back of the net for the Lady Bobcats to
make it 8-2.
Greensboro would finish the final 11 minutes with six goals to
win 14-2.
Kelly Medsen led the Lady Bobcat with four groundballs, and
Martin had three draw controls.
Lees-McRae will return to action Sunday against Limestone.
