Women's Lacrosse Falls at No. 10 Limestone

GAFFNEY, S.C. --- A trio of freshmen netted a goal each, but the Lees-McRae women's lacrosse team suffered a 22-3 setback in Conference Carolinas action to No. 10 Limestone Wednesday evening at Saints Field in Gaffney, S.C.

The Saints (13-2, 7-0 CC) remain undefeated in conference play thanks to a trio of players scoring four goals each. The Bobcats' (7-7, 3-4) Callie Gregg (Roanoke, Va.) tied a game-high with two groundballs.

LC jumped to a 13-0 lead before freshman Casey Reagan (Midlothian, Va.) snagged a Jenah Tracy (Naples, Fla.) pass and scored LMC's first goal.

Reagan has notched a goal in 10 of the team's 14 contests.

LMC's Peyton LeCompte (Carolina Beach, N.C.) and Tiffany Laster (Naples, Fla.) tallied back-to-back goals in a span of 1:48 midway through the second half.

The Saints' Shannon Sisk amassed eight assists while Kendra Sheppard scored four goals and racked up 10 draw controls.

The Bobcats conclude their regular season Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m. when they welcome Mount Olive.
