Women's Lacrosse Season Ends in Quarterfinals at Belmont Abbey

BELMONT, N.C. --- The No. 5-seeded Lees-McRae women's lacrosse team saw its season end to No. 4 seed Belmont Abbey, 23-1, in a Conference Carolinas Quarterfinal Tuesday afternoon at Alumni Field in Belmont, N.C.

The Crusaders (11-6) were led by Katy Connery's six-goal effort and advance to play No. 1 seed Limestone in a CC semifinal. The Bobcats (7-9) saw goalie Mia Emmerson (Orlando, Fla.) amass a game-high eight groundballs.

Freshman Tiffany Laster (Jupiter, Fla.) scored the Bobcats' lone goal while accounting for one of the team's two shots.

Laster and freshman teammate Peyton LeCompte (Carolina Beach, N.C.) combined for 85 goals this season while freshman Casey Reagan (Midlothian, Va.) chipped in with 23.

Junior Jenah Tracy (Naples, Fla.) dished out 32 assists on the season, which is third most in the conference. Emmerson finished second with 155 saves.
