GAFFNEY, S.C. --- The Lees-McRae men's tennis team picked up a win at No. 3 doubles while dropping an 8-1 Conference Carolinas contest to Limestone at the Emmie Evans Rector Tennis Center Tuesday afternoon in Gaffney, S.C.
The Saints upped their record to 6-7, 5-1 CC while the Bobcats fell to 0-10, 0-5.
The duo of Thomas Deeley (Oxford, England) and Cole Douglas-Fields (Asheville, N.C.) cruised to an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles against Giacomo Campus and Alex Poda.
Junior Garret Lakey (North Wilkesboro, N.C.) grabbed the first set 6-4 against Guillermo Ortega at No. 4 singles before falling 6-0, 6-1.
Douglas-Fields hung tight at No. 6 singles despite dropping a 7-6, 6-3 battle.
LMC treks to Pfeiffer for a CC tilt Wednesday, March 30 at 2 p.m. in Misenheimer, N.C.
