GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Callie Gregg and Peyton LeCompte scored two goals apiece while the Lees-McRae women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-7 decision to Tusculum at Pioneer Field Tuesday evening in Greeneville, Tenn.
The Pioneers (10-4) led 10-0 at the intermission. The Bobcats (5-10) dominated the second half on draw controls by holding an 11-3 advantage.
Gregg (Roanoke, Va.) put LMC on the board with an unassisted goal 25 seconds into the second half.
LeCompte (Carolina Beach, N.C.) snagged a Tiffany Laster (Jupiter, Fla.) pass and scored with 24:10 remaining.
Senior Taylor Drake (Jupiter, Fla.) ripped a shot past TC's goalie on a free position attempt less than two minutes later.
Trailing 12-3, Gregg notched her second goal of the contest following a Laster pass.
LeCompte tallied her 52nd goal of the season with 7:36 on the clock.
Senior Jenah Tracy (Naples, Fla.) and Ashley Ritter (Vero Beach, Fla.) scored a goal in the final 3:33 of action.
Senior Mia Emmerson made six saves in the contest.
Gregg paced the team with five draw controls while LeCompte and Joelle-Sara Prata (New Bedford, Mass.) had three each.
The Bobcats conclude their regular season Saturday, April 23 at 4 p.m. in a Conference Carolinas bout against No. 20 Mount Olive in Mount Olive, N.C.
