BANNER ELK, N.C. --- Senior Mia Emmerson amassed 17 saves and sophomore Peyton LeCompte scored twice while the Lees-McRae women's lacrosse team fell to No. 11 Limestone, 18-4, in a Conference Carolinas game Tuesday afternoon at Tate Field in Banner Elk, N.C.
The Saints (9-2, 4-0 CC) were powered by Shannon Sisk and Jaylen Schulte, who combined for seven goals and six assists. The Bobcats (4-7, 3-3) put all of their shots on frame.
Emmerson (Orlando, Fla.) made 10 saves in the first half and currently leads the conference in saves with 136 and save percentage at a 54.0 clip.
LeCompte (Carolina Beach, N.C.) put coach Lexi King's team up 1-0 with a goal 2:20 into play. Sophomore teammate Tiffany Laster (Jupiter, Fla.) earned the assist.
LC responded with a pair of goals from Sisk before Schulte scored her first of three.
Laster cut the deficit to one, 3-2, with a goal with 13:30 remaining in the first while senior Taylor Drake (Jupiter, Fla.) dished out an assist.
LeCompte scored her 38th goal of the year with 2:34 on the clock, thanks to a Jenah Tracy (Naples, Fla.) pass.
LeCompte is tied for second in the conference in goals.
Freshman Constance Madden (Stuart, Fla.) found the back of the net with 7:15 remaining in regulation.
LeCompte turned in five groundballs while Callie Gregg (Roanoke, Va.) and Laster had two apiece.
The Bobcats trek to Shorter for a nonconference tilt Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. in Rome, Ga.
