HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team fell in a non-conference tilt to Lincoln Memorial University Wednesday afternoon, 15-6. The loss moves LMC's record to 3-9 in 2017.

Wednesday's contest began well for Lees-McRae as Peyton LeCompte netted a pair of goals in the first five minutes of action to give her team an early 2-1 lead. Following the second marker from LeCompte, however, LMU scored the next five goals to pull ahead of the Bobcats for good to pick up its sixth win of the season.

LeCompte finished with a team-high three goals against the Railsplitters bringing her season goal total to 29. In addition to the offense from LeCompte, Tiffany Laster and Sara Henderson both had a goal and an assist as well. Laster also paced the Bobcats with five ground balls and five draw controls in the contest.

Samantha Thomson made her first start of the season in goal for LMC and was tagged with the loss moving her record to 0-1. Thomson made five saves on 14 attempts during her time in the net.

The Bobcats will return to Tate Field on April 19 to host Brevard College in another non-conference matchup. That game, which will be LMC's final home game of the season, is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start time.
