BANNER ELK, N.C. – Even with five-point performances from both Tiffany Laster and Peyton LeCompte Saturday, the Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team fell to Chowan University by a score of 14-11 at Tate Field. The loss moves the Bobcats' record to 1-9 overall and 1-7 within the conference in 2018.

As mentioned earlier, the bulk of the Bobcat attack Saturday was ran through the senior duo of Laster and LeCompte. Laster scored five of the team's 11 goals with three of the five coming on free-position shots. LeCompte, meanwhile, netted four goals and added an assist as well. Sophomores Patterson Jones and Beth Haynes accounted for the other two goals by LMC on the day.

In goal, Samantha Thomson got the start and made a career-high 14 saves in 28 shots faced. Even with those save totals, Thomson's record will dip to 0-3 on the season with the loss.

The Bobcats will return to Tate Field Tuesday evening when they host Emmanuel in another conference matchup. First draw between the Lions and Bobcats is set for 5 p.m.
