Strong First Half lifts No. 7 Limestone past Lees-McRae Friday

BANNER ELK, N.C. – No. 7 Limestone scored eight times in first 10 minutes of the first half Friday afternoon at Tate Field on its way to a 24-3 victory over the Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team. The loss moves LMC's record to 1-7 overall and 1-5 in league action.

Senior Peyton LeCompte paced the Bobcat attack Friday accounting for all three goals. LeCompte also snagged five draw controls in the contest. Tiffany Laster picked up an assist and Patterson Jones did as well to account for all the point scoring for the Bobcats.

Dayna Decesare took the loss in goal for Lees-McRae moving her record to 1-6. Decesare did make seven saves in 31 opportunities.

Lees-McRae will be back in action next Wednesday when it travels to Erskine. First draw control is set for 4 p.m.
