WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College track & field teams wrapped up their second meet of the indoor season Sunday in Winston-Salem, N.C. Three top 10 finishes and a pair of school records were broken to highlight Sunday's action.
The women's team had yet another stellar day on Sunday. First, Britney Augustin broke the school record in the qualifying run of the 60m dash with a time of 7.91. Augustin, who placed 11th in the 400m run as well, ran a 7.99 in the finals to earn a seventh-place finish in the 60m dash.
The second school record that fell on Sunday was from Mya Roberts in the shot put. Roberts became the school record holder back on December 6 at the Appalachian State Open with a toss of 11.66m. Roberts's toss on Sunday was 11.71m to beat her previous best mark. Additionally, the 11.71m throw by Roberts was eighth amongst the field.
The men's team were once again led Sunday by the runners in the track events. Elias Zajicek posted the best finish of any Bobcat in any event on the day placing fourth in the 800m run with a time of 2:02.73. Zajicek finished behind only a pair of runners from Division I Davidson and one runner from Montreat College.

The Bobcats will be back in action on January 31-February 1 when they make the short trip to Johnson City, Tennessee for the Buccaneer Invitational.
