HARROGATE, Tenn. – Lees-McRae dropped a straight-set match to host Lincoln Memorial to open up its 2020-21 season this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Nic Brewster paced the Bobcats with five kills in his Lees-McRae debut.
- Ace Backer, Michael Marsans and Max Kuntz combined for 12 kills, while Bradley Peters chipped in a team-high 16 assists.
- The Railsplitters used a 9-3 run in the first set to claim the first set 25-13 and put together an 8-0 run in the second stanza to take the a 2-0 lead with a 25-13 win in the second set.
- Lincoln Memorial closed out the non-conference win with a 25-20 win in the third frame.
FOR THE FOES:
- Justin Sharfenaker posted a game-high eight kills, while Pedro Carvalho chipped in seven kills.
- AJ Risavy and Ryan Foy combined for 29 assists.

Lees-McRae return to court on Tuesday as it travels to Tusculum for a non-conference showdown starting at 7:00 p.m.
