Max Kuntz set a new career-high with 16 kills, while
Michael Marsans chipped in 15 kills, but it wasn't enough as the Bobcats dropped a hard-fought four-set match to visiting Mount Olive in the Conference Carolinas contest this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Kuntz chipped in three block assists and two service aces, while Marsans added three digs and an ace.
- Bradley Peters finished with eight blocks and two aces.
- Ethan Gardner and Ace Backer each tallied seven kills and combined to finish with six blocks and seven digs.
- Riley Chapman finished with 41 set assists.
- Lees-McRae matched the Trojans point-for-point in the first set until Mount Olive used a 5-0 run to claim a 25-20 win in set one.
- The Bobcats used a 5-0 run to shift momentum in the opening points of the second frame and a late 4-0 run to even the score at 18-18.
- Lees-McRae and the Trojans traded the lead over the next couple of points until a late kill by Kuntz and an attacking error by Mount Olive gave the Bobcats a 29-27 win in set two.
- The Trojans used a 5-0 run at the midpoint of the third set to shift the momentum back in their favor and used a pair of late kills by Azeez to claim a 25-20 win in the third set.
- Mount Olive clinched the conference victory with a 25-22 win in the fourth frame.
FOR THE FOES:
- Tobi Azeez finished with a game-high 18 kills to lead the Trojans.
- Luke Visgitis and Dominic Hagerty each posted nine kills, while Jarrod Ferguson tallied a game-high 46 assists.
